I was looking to print one of my favorite artworks at the time, impossible isosceles, but feared the visible page, the ballpoint pen coloring, and the radiating lines would not come out well. But I still wanted to keep some similar sort of texture to the colors, so instead I used free-use photos of wood to give it a bit of a directionality and grain.
